This method of redirection is a commonly used tool on the world wide web to encourage visitors to sites

 

It may well redirect to a site with ‘adult’ content - ‘Hooray’ you shout..... And I do know that officers from Suffolk Constabulary are visiting on a regular basis and no doubt revel in the delight that they can visit such sites and get paid for it at the same time.

It does not go to www.the-winningformula.co.uk as the link you clicked was not even remotely similar to that site name.

A subtle difference not appreciated by most of Suffolk Constabulary apparently.....

And now a quick story for you...........

A particular Chief Inspector during a discussion regarding similarity of domain names stated to for example, quite clearly, that the word ‘easthome’ was completely different to ‘eastholme’ when used in the context of a web address. Strange therefore that they decide to take action in respect of a recent complaint

 

Oh well Suffolk Constabulary..... When you get your house in order in respect of issues that you keep wasting officers time and valuable resources on, no doubt, we will do the same.
